Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a high-volume operating room environment averaging 35–50 cases per day with turnovers expected in under 20 minutes
• Provide direct 1:1 patient care across multiple surgical service lines including cardiac/peripheral vascular, neurology, orthopedic trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci robotic systems, Stealth neuronavigation, and Synthes/Stryker orthopedic trauma instrumentation
• Respond to trauma cases as required within a Level I trauma center environment, maintaining readiness across reserved OR suites
• Float across multiple campuses as needed to support staffing demands
• Fulfill on-call obligations including weekend call coverage from end of Friday shift through Monday morning

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current operating room experience, with hospital or medical center experience prioritized
• Demonstrated circulating experience in the OR is required; scrub experience is highly preferred
• Experience in General Surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I experience highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience within the previous 3 years required
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate license at time of submission; AHA or ARC BLS certification required; must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the previous 9 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, or vascular surgical cases
• Scrub technician or dual scrub/circulate capability strongly preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
