Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Onsite | Weekend requirement (Saturday or Sunday, 2–3 shifts per 6-week schedule period) | At least 1 holiday required
Key Responsibilities- Scrub and/or circulate across a high-volume OR environment handling 60–80 cases per day across 28 operating rooms
- Support a broad range of service lines including orthopedics (total joints), general surgery, robotics, organ transplants (kidney), ENT, oral/maxillofacial, vascular/thoracic, urology, and pediatrics
- Navigate Level 1 trauma cases including neuro, trauma, pediatric, transplant, and procurement cases, particularly during overnight shifts
- Operate within weekend coverage rotations, supporting 5–6 rooms on Saturdays and Sundays, including urgent and overnight cases
- Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma OR setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage neuro, trauma, pediatric, transplant, and procurement cases
- Prior travel nursing experience required (minimum 1–2 completed travel assignments; first-time travelers will not be considered)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Scrub and circulate experience across multiple surgical specialties
- Neonate and pediatric OR experience
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
