Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with hospital policy, nursing division standards of practice, and regulatory agency requirements
- Complete patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the surgical team, standards of care, and departmental policies
- Assess and document patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs throughout the perioperative process
- Recognize potential problems and abnormal findings and communicate them to the appropriate surgical team member in a timely manner
- Document nursing interventions, treatments, and patient responses as well as accurate perioperative data
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by correctly assembling required supplies for each procedure according to surgeon preference cards
Required Qualifications- Current Arkansas RN Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of 3+ years of Operating Room experience
- CVOR and Vascular OR experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a high-volume acute care surgical environment
- Familiarity with a wide range of surgical specialties and procedures
