Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery
• Perform patient assessments and maintain a sterile, safe surgical environment throughout all phases of care
• Deliver pre- and post-operative patient education and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being
• Primarily serve in a circulating role across a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
• Support coverage in Labor and Delivery for C-sections as needed across a 14-room OR suite averaging approximately 50 procedures per day
• Integrate and coordinate patient care across the full surgical care continuum for a pediatric through adult patient population

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license (must be current and verified via Nursys)
• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room experience
• Float experience across vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Both scrub and circulate experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have personal vehicle; own transportation is a firm requirement
• Completion of approved verbal de-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) required for onboarding

• Strong scrub skills in addition to circulating experience
• Experience in vascular and orthopedic surgical specialties
