Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized nursing care plans before, during, and after surgical procedures
Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment throughout all operative cases
Provide pre- and post-operative patient education and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being
Primarily function in a circulating role across a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
Provide coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections as needed within a 14-room OR suite averaging approximately 50 procedures per day
Integrate and coordinate patient care throughout the full surgical care continuum for a pediatric through adult patient population
Required Qualifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of current, recent Operating Room experience
Float experience in vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
Scrub and circulate experience required; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Prior travel nursing experience required; must have personal vehicle available
Completion of approved verbal de-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) required for onboarding clearance
Preferred Experience / Skills
Strong scrub skills in addition to circulating experience
Experience with high-volume OR environments and diverse surgical specialty coverage
