Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating RN in the operating room, demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning and delivery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other surgical team members to provide safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards
• Ensure availability and readiness of surgical supplies and support the timeliness of cases
• Communicate with patients' families and update physician preference cards as needed
• Assist physicians during surgical cases, including scrubbing when required, and supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Provide required call coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kentucky or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience as a Circulator
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong knowledge of AORN standards, hospital policies, and surgical department procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing in addition to circulating in a variety of surgical specialties
• Familiarity with physician preference card management and surgical supply coordination
