Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location
Jersey City, NJ
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Onsite | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both Scrub and Circulator roles across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Provide intraoperative nursing care for procedures including orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, neuro, robotic, and ENT cases
- Support a Level 2 Trauma Center operating room environment handling all OR specialties except Open Heart
- Fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled (2x per schedule block)
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system
- Float within skillset as required based on census and staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Jersey or a Compact state license, required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of current acute care Operating Room experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in both Scrub and Circulate roles (skills checklist required upon submission)
- Robotic and ENT surgical experience required
- Experience in orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgical specialties required
- BLS certification required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are accepted
