Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient responses to care
• Provide evidence-based care in the operating room setting to prevent healthcare-acquired conditions and reduce hospital readmissions
• Practice standard precautions and comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines to minimize infection risk during patient contact and handling of contaminated materials
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to make informed decisions regarding patient care needs
• Document patient care management accurately and concisely, including nursing assessments, care plans, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives through hourly rounding, bedside shift report, communication board updates, and application of AIDET and other evidence-based practices

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license or compact license with eligibility to practice in Arizona
• Compliance with the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act and applicable nursing standards and regulations
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, cultural, and age-specific considerations
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, receive and apply feedback, and remain calm in emergency situations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an operating room or perioperative nursing setting
• Familiarity with circulator responsibilities and surgical workflow
• Experience assisting with orientation or onboarding of new nursing staff
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation systems
