Key Responsibilities- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
- Support surgical procedures across neuro, orthopedic, transplant (kidney/liver), trauma, and vascular specialties
- Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Adhere to facility compliance standards, infection control protocols, and surgical best practices
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care experience in the Operating Room within the last three years
- Strong hands-on experience in neuro, orthopedic, transplant (kidney/liver), trauma, and vascular surgical specialties
- Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; strict criteria apply for lethal rhythm identification)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-acuity, Level I trauma or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with Magnet-designated facility standards and practices
- Demonstrated ability to float and adapt across multiple surgical service lines
