Registered Nurse – Operating Room (GU/GYN/Transplant)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:40 AM – 7:10 PM) with potential for occasional evening shifts (9:40 AM – 10:10 PM) biweekly; weekend rotation and weekday call requirement included
Key Responsibilities- Provide perioperative nursing care for GU, GYN, and transplant surgical procedures including kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and organ procurement
- Assist with robotic-assisted surgeries utilizing the Da Vinci Xi system for urological and gynecological procedures
- Support a broad range of procedures including hysterectomy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, ureteroscopy, HOLEP, laparoscopic gynecology, and anterior/posterior repair
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Maintain compliance with all facility protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements
Required Qualifications- Active RN license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
- Experience in Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery
- Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam (adult and pediatric) with a minimum score of 80%; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical platform in a clinical OR setting
- Familiarity with transplant procurement procedures and multi-disciplinary surgical teams
- Background in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
