Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:15 AM – 6:45 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform OR circulator duties across general, robotics, GU/GYN, and colorectal surgical cases
• Serve as part of the back-up on-call team as required by the unit
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, with an expectation to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• In the event of an emergency, report as assigned by the unit manager, which may include remaining at the facility until the event passes or serving on a relief team

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 3 years of OR circulator experience required
• AHA certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (based on address on driver's license) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• High proficiency across multiple surgical service lines including general, robotics, GU/GYN, and colorectal
• Experience functioning as a resource or charge-level clinician in a high-volume OR environment
• Familiarity with on-call responsibilities in a fast-paced surgical setting
