    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Operating Room

    Location

    Omaha, NE

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide perioperative nursing care across a high-volume OR environment performing over 400 cases per month across 6 suites
    • Support a broad mix of surgical specialties including orthopedics (total joints and sports medicine), general, OB/GYN, robotic, plastics, ENT, urology, hand, podiatry, and breast reconstruction procedures
    • Collaborate with OR technicians, anesthesia teams, and surgeons to ensure safe and efficient patient care for both adult and pediatric populations
    • Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
    • Participate in call coverage, including 6–7 weeknight call shifts per month, 2–3 weekend call shifts per 13-week contract, and at least 1 holiday call
    • Float within the OR department as needed to accommodate changing case volumes
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • Current BLS certification
    • Demonstrated ability to scrub and/or circulate total joint, robotic, general laparoscopic, urology, hand and foot, and breast reconstruction cases
    • Must pass a department-specific open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation
    • Ability to comply with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
    • Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with EPIC EMR
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced surgical team
    • Flexibility to adjust shifts and accept call on short notice to accommodate changing OR volumes
