Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process in an operating room setting
• Perform circulating nurse duties throughout surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians to monitor patient health and safety during operations
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in accordance with medical center policy, mission, and regulatory guidelines
• Support a full spectrum of surgical specialties including Orthopedic, General, GYN, Urology, and Neurosurgery cases

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License (LARA and Nursys verification required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Must be able to Circulate
• Experience with Orthopedic, General, GYN, Urology, and Neurosurgery required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application is required
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Familiarity with Paragon EMR
