Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (schedule may vary each day based on case start times) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide circulating RN coverage across surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery
Deliver routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Texas or a valid Compact RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room or surgical nursing specialty
Demonstrated experience circulating in surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and/or Plastic Surgery
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Ability to manage contingencies in a fast-paced surgical environment and make appropriate care assignments and delegations
