Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Variable Start Times (7:00 AM or 9:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital operating room setting
Support trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical cases
Participate in on-call rotations distributed equally among nursing staff, approximately every 6 weeks, which may include up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period covering nights, evenings, and weekends
Float between like units within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Be available to cover occasional night shifts and work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
Required Qualifications
Active, valid California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical specialties required
Current BLS certification
Proficiency with Epic charting system
Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call assignments
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in an OR setting
Familiarity with floating between units or sister facilities
Ability to adapt to variable start times and scheduling flexibility
