    Operating Room Nurse Manager

    Location

    Scranton, PA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (Possibility of Temp-to-Hire); Full-Time, Onsite; Day Shift, 5x8s, 40 Hours per Week; Variable Start Times; No Weekends or Holidays

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead and manage daily operations of the Operating Room department, ensuring compliance with current AORN guidelines and evidence-based practice
    • Drive key performance indicators including OR turnaround times and first case on-time starts
    • Oversee regulatory preparedness and participate in TJC and DOH surveys
    • Lead new project roll-outs and sustain ongoing departmental compliance initiatives
    • Manage staff scheduling and timekeeping within a collective bargaining environment
    • Provide direct patient care in the OR as needed and serve as a resource for troubleshooting operational issues
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience
    • Experience in an OR leadership role
    • Trauma experience in an OR setting
    • Proficiency with workforce management platforms such as UKG, Kronos, or Workday for staff scheduling
    • Strong working knowledge of current AORN guidelines and regulatory standards
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CNOR certification strongly preferred
    • Experience managing within a collective bargaining unit
    • High Reliability Organization (HRO) training
