Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | On-call expected approximately 7 days per month, including one weekend per month, from 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning of patient care within the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other personnel to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Perform circulator duties including ensuring availability of supplies, maintaining timeliness of cases, and communicating with patient families
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases across required specialties including Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General Surgery
• Update and maintain physician preference cards and oversee supervision of personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)

Required Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license or multi-state (Compact) RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required — must be issued through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 4 years of recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting
• Experience as an OR Circulator with Endoscopy experience
• Proficiency in Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General Surgery specialties

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in ENT and/or GYN surgical specialties
• Prior travel nursing experience
