Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) | Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an active operating room environment handling 10–25 cases per day across 7 rooms
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as assigned within the OR setting
- Participate in on-call rotation including weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
- Work 2 weekends per 6-week schedule as part of standard rotation
- Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site until the event passes or serving on a relief team
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – AHA required
- NURSYS report must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address (as reflected on driver's license) – local travelers are not accepted
- Must be separated from any prior employment within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a travel nurse
Preferred Experience / Skills- Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience preferred but not required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers with sufficient OR experience will be considered
