Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the Main Operating Room
Assist with vascular surgeon cases in the OR and Hybrid Imaging suite, including endovascular and open cases
Function as both scrub and OR circulator, utilizing the nursing process to provide and evaluate patient care
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality while adhering to established nursing practice guidelines and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
Participate in call requirements as scheduled, averaging approximately 5 or fewer call shifts per 8-week period
Required Qualifications
Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience will be considered)
Demonstrated scrub and OR circulator experience
Minimum 1 year of interventional vascular experience with competency in conscious sedation
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1
Preferred Experience / Skills
Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years in a high-acuity OR environment
Experience working with robotic surgical systems (e.g., DaVinci)
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Highly motivated, self-starting personality with strong human relations and communication skills
