Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
- Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
- Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and applicable state Nurse Practice Act standards.
- Perform call duties as required, averaging approximately 5 or fewer call shifts per 8-week period, on any day scheduled; weekend hours as required by facility.
Required Qualifications- Current RN License — must meet criteria for eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold an active Missouri RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
- Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience will be considered).
- Demonstrated experience as both a Scrub and OR Circulator.
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Level 1 Trauma experience with multiple years of OR practice.
- Experience working with a broad patient population ranging from outpatient to critical care inpatient.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and robotic surgical systems such as the DaVinci platform.
