Key Responsibilities
Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision of care.
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
Current RN license; must meet criteria for eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri.
Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience will be considered).
Experience as both a Scrub and OR Circulator.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted.
Must be available for day shift orientation during the first week of assignment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Level 1 Trauma experience with multiple years of OR practice.
Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, including DaVinci systems.
Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
Highly motivated, self-starting personality with strong human relations and communication skills.
