Contract | Travel | Days (5x8) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite | Projected Start: July 27, 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Involves patients and/or significant others in decisions regarding care and assesses educational needs and learning abilities during admission and subsequent assessments, documenting findings in the computerized care plan.
  • Develops and maintains a plan of care that includes identified problems, nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions, and goals/outcomes with target dates to promote optimal health, healing, or dignified end of life.
  • Performs patient hand-offs utilizing patient safety tools (SBAR, Report at Bedside, etc.) both shift-to-shift and interdepartmentally as directed.
  • Maintains effective communication through appropriate utilization of the chain of command and communicates subjective and objective data with appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Facilitates communication of pertinent findings with physicians and participates in rounds as appropriate.
  • Participates in Process Improvement activities including data collection, in-services, and meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Missouri RN Licensure required.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Ambulatory Surgery, Critical Care, Pre-op, and/or PACU.
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
  • Ability to take call as needed and float as required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in a combined Ambulatory Surgery and Critical Care environment.
  • Familiarity with trauma care settings or Level III Trauma Center environments.
