Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00–23:30) | On-Site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity operating room environment with a primary focus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
• Perform implantation of donor organs into recipient patients — experience with organ implantation (not solely organ harvesting) is required
• Operate and demonstrate proficiency with Misonix/CUSA ultrasonic surgical equipment
• Participate in liver call coverage during assigned shifts; may be assigned to other surgical cases when transplant cases are not scheduled
• Fulfill on-call obligations, including approximately one on-call shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of direct OR experience with liver and/or transplant surgery
• Strong, documented experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures — must be reflected on skills checklist at time of submission
• Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine (nicotine) required
• Locals are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience charting in Epic EMR
• Background in a teaching or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with EKG interpretation and pharmacology testing in an acute care setting
