Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS, CST (preferred), CSFA (preferred)
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in CVOR or related operating room specialties; previous travel experience preferred
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; excellent communication skills; ability to handle rotating call shifts; valid state nursing license; proficiency with hospital electronic charting systems (EPIC)

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiovascular, thoracic, and interventional cases in a fast-paced OR environment.
  • Manage patient monitoring and assist with complex procedures such as CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, and robotic thoracic surgeries.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and tech staff to ensure seamless operative workflows.
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system (EPIC) and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Support on the unit by assisting with instrumentation, case preparation, and responding to on-call requirements as scheduled.
