Travel Operating Room RN – Circulator
Location: Morrisville, Vermont
Contract: 13 Weeks
☀️ Shift: Days / Varied
⏱️ Hours: 36 Hours/Week
We're seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) / Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care, support surgical procedures, and maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
✅ Requirements
Active Vermont RN License
Minimum 3 years of Operating Room / Circulator RN experience
Current BLS/BCLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Strong perioperative nursing and surgical patient-care skills
Experience working as an OR Circulator
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Willingness to participate in required on-call rotation
Clinical Experience
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process
Prepare patients for surgical procedures and verify required documentation
Perform circulating duties during surgical procedures
Maintain a safe, sterile, and organized operating room environment
Assist with positioning and preparation of patients for surgery
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals
Monitor patient safety throughout procedures
Maintain accurate perioperative documentation
Anticipate surgical team needs and ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are available
Follow infection prevention, surgical safety, and hospital standards
Participate in quality and patient-safety initiatives
Assignment Highlights
36 hours per week
Day and varied schedules available
Option for 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts
One weeknight of call per week
Weekend call every 5th weekend
2-hour minimum callback
No holiday coverage required
