Job Highlights

• Shift: Days | 4x10s | 40 hrs/week
• Provides perioperative nursing care with responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Requirements

• Active California RN license
• BLS required
• Must demonstrate clinical competency appropriate to the assigned patient population
• BSN, MSN, or current RN-to-BSN enrollment preferred

Role / Responsibilities

• Complete patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Identify high-risk patients and initiate appropriate interventions
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and initiatives to improve patient outcomes
• Make appropriate referrals and coordinate continuity of care
• May provide patient care and clinical leadership as needed

Team Lead Responsibilities – If Assigned

• Serve as a clinical resource, role model, and mentor for nursing staff
• Coordinate staffing assignments, admissions, transfers, breaks, and patient flow
• Support preceptors, new employees, and float staff
• Coordinate high-risk/emergent situations and communicate critical issues to nursing leadership
• Ensure collaboration between nursing, physicians, and other departments
• Assist with staffing decisions, equipment checks, documentation issues, and appropriate use of resources
