Job Summary Emergency Room Trauma Nurse Lead Location: Augusta. This position involves leading trauma nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department environment during initial primary and secondary survey periods. The role requires strong leadership and advanced critical thinking skills to ensure high-quality patient care in a Level 1 trauma setting.
Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications; at least 2 years of experience in emergency department nursing care and/or 1 year in trauma nursing care; strong IV background; ability to independently run a mass transfusion through level 1 rapid infuser; rapid critical thinking skills; effective communication skills; computer skills; ability to manage a team and work collaboratively; problem-solving skills; comfortable with leading high-acuity trauma care as part of the emergency department team.
Additional Information: This is a trauma nurse lead position working during the initial primary and secondary survey period. Procedures performed on unit include IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, assisting with chest tube procedures, traction, central/arterial line placement, and emergency bedside procedures.
Submission Requirements: Candidates should be ready to start on 11/09/2026 and are expected to stay through 02/08/2027.
