The position requires ensuring patient safety, coordinating workflow, and providing both circulating and scrub responsibilities across a variety of surgical specialties.
Job Details
Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); 2+ years of dedicated surgical experience; must have valid certifications.
Schedule: Days shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The schedule varies with early starts at 6:30 AM and late finishes, including rotation for early starts and late ends.
Responsibilities: Manage sterile and non-sterile environments of the OR; coordinate patient care, safety, and workflow across the entire perioperative period; circulate and scrub for General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics surgeries. Preferred scrub and First Assist experience.
Travel Information: Travelers must be more than 50 miles from the facility.
Additional Information: The position is for an OR nurse with at least 2 years of dedicated surgical experience, capable of covering a broad range of surgical procedures confidently as a circulator and scrub.
