Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a hospital setting located in Fort Myers, Florida. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on orthopedics, oncology, bariatrics, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotics. The role requires prior travel experience and active licensure in Florida or a compact state.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour daytime shifts, Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with call responsibilities of one shift per week after scheduled days for 2 to 4 hours, and one to two 12-hour weekend shifts per month.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Florida or compact licensure, active BLS certification, 2 years of operating room experience, prior travel experience. Degree accreditation must be listed on the profile, or a minimum of 5 years of operating room experience. Epic electronic medical record system.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS and PALS certifications, robotic and neuro/ortho experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required; travelers are first to float and possibly to sister campus locations.
- Additional Information: All demographic information, including address, email, date of birth, social security number, and license number, must be completed at the time of submission. RTO requests must be loaded at submission; approvals cannot be made post-submission. The culture is highly valued, and travelers are integrated as core staff. A hard document deadline is Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation.
