Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the acute care operating room setting and possess a wide array of specialty competencies.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• On-call Requirement: Yes, with late call shifts until 11 PM twice a week and every 3rd-4th weekend
• Required Call: Every 3rd to 4th weekend

• Number of Operating Rooms: 12
• Trauma Level: Level 3 trauma center
• Scrub Color: Scrubs will be provided
• Charting System: Epic

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting, with strong skills in general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN surgery
• Valid RN license in South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact
• Certification: BLS required
• Radiation Badge: Must be provided by the agency, as it is not supplied by us

Miscellaneous Information

• Floating: No floating between service lines
• Block Scheduling: Requires manager's approval and is dependent on unit needs
• Local Radius: 60-mile radius rule; only travelers from outside this radius will be accepted
• RTO: All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission and will be subject to approval based on facility needs
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility can call off 1 shift every 2 weeks; called-off hours can total up to 1 shift

Additional Information

Please note that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should avoid confirming new assignments during this period, which runs from June through November, with peak activity expected in August and September.
