Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Lafayette, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. Responsibilities include assessing patient health status, developing and implementing care plans, providing health education and counseling, executing therapy and treatment plans, and ensuring documentation compliance. The position may require floating to other departments within scope and being placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Shift hours are 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications & Certifications: ASN (graduation from an accredited School of Nursing), current license as a Registered Nurse in Colorado, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, and a minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree of Nursing and additional certifications relevant to the operating room setting are preferred.
- Certifications & Licensure: Current state RN license and BLS certification are required; ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications may be appropriate for the unit or service.
- Additional information: The role emphasizes thorough health data assessment, health teaching, counseling, therapy and treatment planning, nursing care, treatment plan monitoring, medical function execution, documentation, resource utilization, and patient referral procedures. Candidates should be prepared to float within scope and be on-call as needed.
