Job Summary Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves managing sterile and non-sterile environments within the operating room, supporting surgical teams across various specialties, and ensuring patient safety and workflow during procedures. The role requires adaptability to varied start times and a focus on perioperative care.
Job Details
Position Description: Start: ASAP. Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shifts typically from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Early starts and late ends may be required depending on case schedules, including occasional rotations. Call responsibilities include two days per week as first or backup responder, and one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). Call shifts are rotated, and there are no floating requirements.
Required Qualifications: 2+ years of dedicated surgical experience, current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with a valid license to practice as an OR Nurse. Skills should include managing sterile and non-sterile environments, coordinating patient care, and supporting surgical procedures.
Additional Information: Candidate should have scrub and first assist experience, with confident circulating abilities covering General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB-GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics surgeries. Scrubs are hospital provided (green). This position involves managing a facility with 8 regular beds, 2 cysto beds, 1 endoscopy bed, and 2 C-section beds. EMR system used is PICI.
