Job Summary Operating Room (OR) Nurse in the healthcare setting. This position involves providing independent nursing care in the surgical environment, including routine and complex procedures. The role requires maintaining competence in cardiovascular (open-heart) cases and supporting general operative procedures.
Job Details
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association; RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license.
Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, working weekends (either Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday). Minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The successful candidate will support cardiovascular (open-heart) cases with the ability to assist in general operating room procedures. Experience with EPIC charting system and supporting complex surgical cases is required. The position includes working approximately 12-hour shifts on weekends, with at least one day of call during the week and one holiday.
