Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse position located in Tyler, Texas. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The position requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient surgical procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), two years of operating room experience, familiarity with Epic charting system, experience with orthopedic, general, neurological, vascular, and urological surgeries; preferred experience with Davinci Robots, endovascular, and ophthalmic procedures

- Skills: Expertise in procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, anterior lumbar interbody fusion, arthroscopy, carotid artery stenting, cataract extraction/implant, cholecystectomy, craniotomy, cystoscopy, gastrointestinal robotic surgery, general operations, glaucoma surgery, gynecologic robotic surgery, hernia repair, lumbar fusion, nephrectomy, neurological robotic surgery, orthopedic robotic surgery, otolaryngologic robotic surgery, prostatectomy, thyroidectomy, transoral robotic surgery, total joint replacement, urologic robotic surgery, Whipple procedure, XLIF (Extreme Lateral Interbody Fusion)
- Travel Experience Required: Yes
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in operating room settings

- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Shifts are 10-hour rotations with a day off, minimal call requirement (1-2 shifts every 6 weeks)
- Additional Information:
- Prior experience in orthopedic, general, neuro, vascular, and urology surgeries required; ophthalmic and robotic experience are a bonus
- State license must be in hand at the time of submittal; no license hits accepted
- All required onboarding and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- RTO (Return To Office) must be listed at the time of submittal; previous staff must wait at least one year before returning as a traveler
- UT residents in specific counties are not eligible for contract
