Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) during a broad range of surgical procedures including Orthopedic Trauma, Spine, Neuro, GYN, Urology, General, Robotics, Vascular, Peds, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, OMF, Dental, and Eye Trauma
- Assist the surgeon directly at the operative field, providing skilled first-assist support throughout procedures
- Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci Robots (x5), Mako, and Velys robotic systems
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using Cerner
- Adhere to a flexible scheduling model, including on-call responsibilities as required
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary OR team including unit secretaries and surgical technologists in a 29-bed OR environment with 1:1 patient ratios
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN First Assistant in the Operating Room
- One or more of the following certifications required: CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to assist surgeons across Ortho Trauma, Ortho, Spine, Neuro, GYN, General, Robotics, and Vascular surgery
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
- Ability to meet flexible scheduling requirements, including call coverage
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with robotic surgical platforms, including Da Vinci, Mako, or Velys systems
- Familiarity with a high-volume, multi-specialty OR environment
- Prior travel nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting
