Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery (General OR)

Shift Information

The position requires the RN to work four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role also includes participation in a rotating call schedule, involving both weekday and weekend responsibilities, as determined by the staff rotation. Holiday call may be necessary if it coincides with the assignment. Schedule adjustments may occur based on patient census and staffing needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide surgical nursing care in the operating room.
• Participate in a rotating call schedule for 24/7 coverage.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist with the flow and management within the surgical environment.
• May float to various surgery centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the operating room is required.
• Experience with robotic surgery, neuro, and orthopedic procedures is preferred.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is desirable.

Additional Information

Holiday coverage will be required as part of the rotating schedule. Start dates will be determined based on the offer acceptance timeline.
