Job Summary Operating Room (OR) Nurse, located in the specified area, is responsible for providing perioperative nursing care in a surgical setting. This role involves supporting a variety of surgical procedures, including same-day and overnight stays, with a focus on patient safety and quality care in a preoperative environment.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS Certification; willing to wait for license submission.
Education Requirements: No specific degree requirement.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of OR experience.
Specialty: Operating Room.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 to 4 days per week. Shift times include day shifts from 6 AM to 2 PM, 7 AM to 3 PM, 8 AM to 4 PM, or 9 AM to 5 PM. Participation in weekend rotation and on-call schedule, including one weekend scheduled shift and one secondary call day per scheduling period, is required.
Location Requirements: Must include a valid driver's license, with a 50-mile radius submission rule.
Additional responsibilities include supporting procedures, scrubbing in on surgeries including robotics, and working in a preoperative care environment.
Orientation: Unit/Department specific, including surgical center and pre-op area.
Charting System: Allscripts.
Shift Notes: Candidates may work three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week, with occasional midnight shifts supported operational demands.
Submit all licensing documentation; willing to wait for license submission.
No mandatory call/standby requirement; response time for calls is 30 minutes.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
