Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license with active Virginia or compact licensure at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent operating room nursing experience
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• Experience with vascular, neuro, and da Vinci robotics cases required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Comfort working in a teaching hospital environment with students and new team members
• Ability to accommodate scheduled call rotation as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical procedures
• Support vascular, neuro, and robotic surgery cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team
• Maintain a calm, organized presence in a busy surgical setting
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled, including weekend rotation
• Contribute to a supportive learning environment for students and new hires
