Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This role requires a dedicated professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room and may be required to work weekends and participate in call rotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room environment.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a safe and efficient operating room experience.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology, including robotics and various surgical instruments.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sanitary protocols.
• Participate in on-call duties as required, including weeknight and weekend calls.

Unit Information

• Specialty areas include Trauma, Bariatrics, Vascular, ENT, Gynecology, Neuro, and Orthopedics.
• Patient care will involve a variety of surgical procedures.
• The operating room is equipped with advanced technology, including robotic systems and navigation systems.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Experience in a Trauma Level 1 facility is required.
• Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell electronic health record systems preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with robotics in surgical procedures.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule

This position requires three 12-hour shifts per week, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Flexibility to participate in varied schedules, including weekend rotations, is essential.
