Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves providing perioperative patient care in a busy surgical environment, supporting various surgical specialties with responsibilities including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care. The position requires flexibility to float between units and may involve on-call shifts during weekday nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 0+ years of experience; Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); experience with OR procedures including lung resection, thoracotomy, joint replacement, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, spinal fusion, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, wound management, and infection control.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings; experience in Orthopedic, Gynecology, Sports Medicine, and Total Joint procedures; familiarity with various charting systems.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be prepared to support interdisciplinary teams; respond to urgent situations; and adhere to safety protocols including fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol procedures. Travelers may be requested to float between nearby sister facilities, with prior approval of all scheduled time off (RTO).
• References: Two references covering at least one year of clinical practice within the last three years.
