Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room (OR) experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Shift Details

• Shift: 11a-11p, flexible to evenings if needed
• Weekend Requirements: No weekends
• On Call Requirements: 1 call per month if needed

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans
• Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
• Provide pre and post-operative patient education
• Monitor patient's physical and emotional well-being
• Coordinate patient care throughout the surgical continuum
• Support various surgical procedures, excluding cardiac and ophthalmology

Qualifications

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience
• Experience in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery
• Ability to float to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic surgery, urology, and ENT
• Proficient in both circulating and scrubbing roles
• Travel experience in diverse clinical settings
• EPIC experience is mandatory
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Must have a valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration
• Must possess a personal vehicle for commuting

Patient Population

Provide care for a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to adult.

Additional Information

• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
• Average of 50 surgical procedures performed daily
