- Required Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Adherence to organizational policies and unit standards
- Must consistently function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and keep current with legal aspects of nursing
- Requires ability to take call
- Must float as a sitter and may participate in rotation for floating duties
- Job Functions:
- Coordinate and provide high-quality patient care using the nursing process
- Develop, implement, and reassess individualized patient plans of care
- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments
- Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and patient education needs
- Document assessments, care provided, interventions, and responses accurately
- Gather patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Conduct ongoing holistic assessments and respond to patient needs
- Determine and implement appropriate nursing actions to meet care goals
- Educate patients and families on health information in a timely manner, sharing written materials as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of workflows and evidence-based procedures
- Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Participate in performance evaluation and quality improvement processes
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all healthcare team members
- Maintain a clean and safe environment according to policies
