• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:30)
• Shift Duration: 10 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Call: One 8-hour on-call shift per week as needed
• Weekend Coverage: May rotate weekends

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand
• Operating Room RN experience with a strong background in neurosurgical cases
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Experience with stereotactic neurosurgical procedures, neuro spine cases, and craniotomy cases with tumor resections
• Epic experience preferred; candidates with more than one year of Epic experience may not require instructor-led training
• Less than 2 years of experience accepted
• Ability to meet travel compliance requirements, including recent Nursys verification and submission under the traveler’s legal first and last name

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Support neurosurgery procedures and assist with complex surgical cases
• Prepare the OR for sterile, high-acuity surgical workflows and scrub as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members to help ensure smooth case progression
• Participate in on-call coverage and weekend rotations as scheduled
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards for quality, patient safety, and clinical excellence
