Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies according to surgical requirements.
• Assist with trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic cases.
• Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and OR staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
• Participate in required call rotation.
• Float between comparable units as needed.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Variable Start Times: 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
• Weekend requirements: Yes
• On-call requirement:
  • Call responsibilities shared equally among nursing staff
  • Approximately 6–8 call shifts every 6 weeks
  • May include nights, evenings, and weekends
  • Call shifts are approximately 8 hours
• Traveler may be required to cover one night shift during the contract as needed
• Block scheduling may be considered at manager discretion

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
• Experience with:
  • Trauma cases
  • Neuro surgery
  • Vascular procedures
  • Orthopedic surgery
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Pending licenses not accepted

Required Certification

• BLS Certification
