Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse - Location: Not Specified. This role involves coordinating and implementing individualized care plans for surgical patients within a fast-paced environment. The OR Nurse will collaborate across disciplines to ensure patient safety, effective communication, and adherence to standards and policies, from preoperative assessment through postoperative care.

Job Details

• Position Specific Performance Expectations include planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes, monitoring and communicating patient condition, collaborating across disciplines, providing patient/family education, and ensuring adherence to perioperative standards and policies.
• Must be at least 16 years of age, able to work legally in the United States, pass background, drug, and alcohol screening, and complete employee health requirements.
• Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; active RN license in Colorado or a Compact State; Basic Life Support (BLS) required within six months of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within six months, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within one year.
• Experience: Minimum of two years hospital nursing experience preferred; prior OR experience preferred.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8-hour shift hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Certification requirements must be met within specified timeframes.
• Candidates must be able to respond appropriately in emergency situations following relevant algorithms, give thorough reports, maintain patient confidentiality, and perform other assigned duties.
