Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves working in a fast-paced Level II Trauma center, providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Operating Room.

Schedule

• Shift: Day (5x8 Hour) from 06:45 AM to 03:15 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekends and Holidays: Required as scheduled
• On-call: Required, with a commitment of approximately 5-6 calls per 4-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for general OR cases, including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neurology, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardio, bariatric surgeries, and DaVinci robotics.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Participate in floating to specialty areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Operating Room; 2 years may be considered with strong experience.
• Experience with robotics in surgery is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

Patient Care

The Operating Room RN will work with a patient ratio of 1:1, ensuring individualized care for each patient throughout the surgical experience.
