Job Details
Location: Not specified, located within a 100-mile radius of the facility.
Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements.
Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Current NYS Registered Nurse license; BLS certification; ACLS preferred; experience is not required.
Responsibilities include providing patient care in the operating room, recognizing safety issues, operating clinical equipment, and potentially assuming duties as a charge nurse.
Additional clinical skills include lethal dysrhythmia interpretation and knowledge of aseptic practices in surgical settings.
On-call response time of 30 minutes is required.
Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities are preferred for experienced RNs.
Must be able to function well under stress and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must recognize safety issues and be capable of assessing and implementing the use of lifts to move patients safely.
May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
Knowledge of clinical equipment instrumentation and aseptic techniques in OR/Anesthesia Service Unit (ASU) setting is necessary.
