Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare organization located in a community hospital setting. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical department, working closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 4-day work week, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CNOR certifications, 2 years of OR experience, EPIC electronic health record system experience, travel experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or Level II experience, ability to handle a variety of surgical procedures including minimally invasive and complex surgeries.
• Responsibilities: Assist with a variety of surgical procedures including abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, anterior/posterior repair, appendectomy, arthroscopy, open/reduction of fractures, and more. Ensure adherence to safety protocols such as fire safety, infection control, and universal protocol (Time Out). Maintain patient safety through proper monitoring, charting, and documentation.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, working Monday through Thursday, with call rotation after hours and weekends.
• Additional Information: Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide 7-year work history verification. Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with specific holiday RTO policies. Completion of modules via e-learning during orientation is required.
