Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse - Located in Iowa. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy Level I trauma center that features a comprehensive mix of surgical specialties, including robotics, trauma, neuro, ortho, gyn, urology, and transplants. The role requires circulating and scrub responsibilities, with a focus on trauma, pediatric, and general surgeries, supporting both scheduled and emergency procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Standards, and Experience: Iowa or compact/multistate licensed OR Nurse with at least 24 months of current operating room experience in hospital or medical center settings; trauma level I experience highly preferred.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, rotating schedule, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrub duties for diverse surgical cases, utilizing EPIC electronic medical systems within the past 3 years.
• Experience preferred: General surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, Trauma, Neurology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, Ear, Nose, Throat, and Vascular procedures.
• Additional requirements: Active Iowa license, American Heart Association BLS certification, and ability to work across all campus locations, with optional float to different facilities.
