* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Department: OR RN *Certifications Required: BLS* Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract - # of Suites: 6 - Average # of cases per day: Over 400 per month - Common Cases: Adults and Peds, We are a mix of mainly outpatient procedures including ortho (including total joints and sports med), general, obgyn, robotic, plastics, ENT, Urology, hands, podiatry, breast reconstructions - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to handle total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot, breast cases including reconstructions - Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: No - OR techs?: Yes - EMR: EPIC - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1700 // OR supervisor will make schedule - Weeknight/Call Requirements: 6-7 call shifts per month - Weekend/Call Requirements: 2-3 weekends in a 13 week contract - Holiday/Call Requirements: Depending on needs at least 1 holiday call per year - Floating Requirements: Within the OR - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1-3 days - Additional Notes: Great people/culture, growing volumes, the engagement of staff, anesthesia, and surgeons to make this the best OR in our region. Attributes that make staff most successful in this department include hard worker, fast and efficient, attention to details, willingness to be a great team player, great interpersonal skills, willingness to take call (even on short notice) Willingness to change shifts to accommodate changing volumes. Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
